Swiss Dots

Sweater:  J.Crew (similar budget friendly version here), Blouse:  Joe Fresh (similar here), Skirt:  Bebe (old, similar here), Shoes:  Christain Louboutin, Bag:  Marc by Marc Jacobs (old, newrsio ven here)

I'd say this is the quintessential teacher uniform.  Very "J.Crew catalog" looking.  Preppy yet chic.  I'm obsessed with this swiss dotted sweater that I picked up last week ~ another item you can count on seeing again!

  2. I've been following you for awhile and I love your style.
I am also a teacher so I must ask...how do you teach in heels all day!?

And I teach second grade so sometimes I can't wear the cute outfits I want because I literally sit on the floor with my kids:) Boo!

    1. Thank you Becky ~ I can totally relate because I did my student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom!

It's much easier to dress up more when teaching older kids. I think that wearing heels help me command authority more (or maybe I just perceive it that way) because a LOT of my middle school students are taller than I am!! Maybe the heels just give me more confidence?

Also, the heels are usually off by the 2nd period of the day and are replaced by flats. I like to have them with me though for any after-school festivities that may come up :)

  3. Thank you for responding! I like the idea of wearing heels and changing into flats throughout the day.

Hope your school year is going well :)
